Railway Solutions
Railway Solutions are EN50155 certified and all units undergo severe environmental testing to ensure reliable performance under a variety of power supply conditions, such as voltage variations, power interruptions, and supply changeover. The systems are also tested to withstand environmental disturbances, like vibration, shock, and extreme temperature. For example, the GUARD-F12 has been tested from -40°C to +85°C (called Tx in the EN50155 Standard).
Rugged Embedded Computer with Integrated PoE
The system comes with up to eight individual GigE ports on RJ45 or M12, and four of the GigE ports are available with PoE+, ideal to add cameras. Intel mobile CPUs and Intel LAN chips out of the embedded roadmap are used, making long-term availability of parts and carrying out repairs easy.
The new PIP30 Family is designed in such a way that the Fit & Form still remains the same as when the first PIP was introduced in 1996. MPL has access to the source code of the BIOS, allowing customization according to special customer requirements, whether it is a custom splash screen, password protection, or special project or application requirements.
It has 7 USB (3.0 and 2.0), up to four serial lines (RS232/485), PS/2, external SATA port, and as a specialty an external PCI-E or eSATA port. Internally available are two SATA interfaces. The unit can easily be expanded over various expansion ports like up to 6 mini PCIe, PCI-104, PCI/104-Express, or PCI-Express x16.
The PIP30 is offered in the standard PIP housing as well as in a MIL housing or as an Open-Frame version. It is a rugged solution to meet your needs for today and tomorrow.
The PIP30 units are developed in Switzerland based on more than 30 years of company tradition, with extensive know-how in low power consumption and extended temperature operation.
EN50155 Certified Firewall/Router for Railway Applications
The new GUARD-F12 is an EN50155 Class Tx certified firewall/router developed specifically for railway applications and is based on the robust GUARD-F1.
The GUARD product line is designed and produced by MPL AG in Switzerland. The GUARD-F12 comes with 3 Fast Ethernet interfaces and M12 connectors, making it ideal for rugged industrial and railway environments
EN50155 Certified Compact Embedded Industrial PC
CEC Family from MPL runs on low-power Intel ATOM CPUs, ensuring long-term availability. MPL products are typically offered for at least 10 years after introduction.
MPL has also received EN50155 certification in addition to IEC 60945 maritime certification, making it suitable for railway applications.

It has a compact size of 62.0 x 162.1 x 118 mm (W x H x D) and is Class Tx certified from -40°C to +85°C. It supports up to 2GB DDR2 memory and SATA interface for DOM and 2.5" disk, with BIOS customization and OEM solutions available.
